How to Build with Brookfield
When you build with Brookfield Residential, we're with you through every step of your new home journey, from choosing your floor plan and finding financing, through design choices and closing. Because we know it's more than a home — it's your future.

Step 1: Contract Appointment
Prior to your contract appointment, you’ll meet with a BRP Mortgage Representative or a lender of your choice to confirm qualification. During your contract appointment, you will review the features to be included in your new home and sign the purchase contract.
 
Step 2: Selecting the Finishes
If you’re purchasing a new construction home, your New Home Counselor will guide you smoothly through the next steps. For some new home plans, the Design Studio will contact you to schedule your design appointment. For other new home plans, you are able to select your packages right away with your New Home Counselor in the Sales Center. 
 
Step 3: Waiting Period
Once your design selections are complete, the new home plans will be sent to architecture and construction, and will be submitted for permits. This process takes between four to seven weeks. If you have purchased an inventory home that has already started, timeframes will vary based on where that home is in the permitting process.

Step 4: Meet Your Builder
Meet your new home Builder and review your home’s exterior and floor plan selections. Along with your New Home Counselor, you will walk through the process from start of construction to home completion. Your Builder will upload your new home’s first photo to the Brookfield Residential App.
 
Step 5: Weekly Updates
As your new home construction continues, your New Home Counselor will send weekly email updates and your Builder will upload progress photos to the Brookfield Residential App.
 
Step 6: Open-Wall Tour
Your Builder will walk you through the home at the framing stage and provide construction updates, from what has been completed to next steps in construction.

Step 7: New Home Orientation Walk
Your new home is nearly complete and only a few days from closing. This two-hour meeting is an opportunity to be detailed and thorough. Your Builder will walk the home and demonstrate the home’s components, while working with you to tag any touch-up areas.
 
Step 8: New Home Delivery
This is your final walk through your new home prior to closing. The Builder will ensure the items detailed during the New Home Orientation Walk are completed.
 
Step 9: Closing and Keys
Once you have completed your new home closing documents and your new home loan has funded, your New Home Counselor or Builder will meet you with the keys to your new Brookfield Residential home! Congratulations!
